Germany - Dresden to Berlin

Not far from the Town Hall was the Church of the Holy Cross (Kreuzkirche) which had its own impressive tower. It sits in the old market square and is the main Evangelical-Lutheran church and seat of the regional bishop of the Free State of Saxony. In the 1200s the church received a 'splinter from Christ's cross' to retain as a relic and this is where its name came from.
